It was really fun to give Kyle the portraits that he cared about in his Senior year.

I love ALL of my family portraits and honestly create them with the same vision and care to make them worthy (in my judgement) to hang with the best of them. But, there are a few that I have created, that I have a gut feeling will make the Professional Photographers of America, International Print Competition judges happy also. The judging is stiff and to get a merit is exiting and satisfying, but to have an image "go loan" is a wahoo! moment. That is what happened with the Dahl girls portrait I submitted for 2009 ... loan :) It's going to be published in a beautiful coffee table book with the other Loan prints for 2009 and sent with a traveling International Loan Exhibit around the world. Thanks girls!

Wow, this summer has already started on an interesting note - there are so many more portraits that I have done (and am scheduled to do) that are extended families of 3 generations. Maybe it has to do with tough times in our country? As I think back to other tough times, earthquakes, 9/11, recessions - I am remembering that families hold on a little tighter to each other. It just reminds us what is really important ... and I am all for that!

Who are the significant women in your life? When I think about mine ... I can't image my life without them! So, I designed a Studio Portrait Event, in honor of Mother's Day, to encourage you to come in with your mother, sister, daughter, three generations, mentors ... your most precious relationships, and have a portrait created that you will cherish forever. You know that you can trust me to make you look your very best and amazing and it will be a relaxed time and truly fun. Give me a call and we plan it - there is even a 1/2 price session and a special value collection I created just for us.

I love to take time in the spring to re-energize and stimulate my thinking with a photography seminar.

We are excited to offer our Spring Session Special for March and April (our ad for this is in 805 Living Magazine in April). The Special is NO CHARGE for your child/children's session in the Studio (regularly $120). There is special pricing for children age 6 and under - since these are the changing years and you come more frequently. We love you coming back and referring friends, so I hope this inspires you to bring in your baby, child, children ... and have beautiful and delightful portraits created.

It has been so much fun photographing beautiful Mackenzi since she was born. Her two year old session {The Wonder Years Collection} was quite the experience, as her calm mother was horrified by the fact that all Mackenzi would say, to anything we said, was "NO!". Of course, it was so much fun, we laughed and "no" doesn't bother me at all. The portraits were adorable!
